Refresher driving lessons are for those who have already passed a driving test and hold a full license.

Perhaps you passed the driving test some time ago or where the roads are not as busy as they are in Bristol, or did not drive regularly. A few hours of modern instruction with a patient instructor should improve you're driving skills and confidence. You could be driving again.

Refresher lessons generally follow a similar structure to ordinary lessons. Discussing what you need to achieve, possibly busy city traffic, or motorway experience, maybe parking. It is your choice

The first objective is to become familiar with the car. Cars have changed over the years and if you have not driven for a while then you will find a modern Peugeot 207 very pleasant to drive, but different to your memories of how an older car felt. You will quickly get used to it and enjoy driving again.

Next, work on effective observation. Driving in Bristol, or any large city, can be challenging. Most difficulties drivers have are caused by a lack of observation and alertness. Just looking is not enough. Think about what is happening and what is going to happen. Look around so you know what the other traffic is doing, use the mirrors. Do not forget the side mirrors and blind spots. Very often attention to these points will give the driver so much more confidence. Usually making them a better driver than before.
