I am fully qualified as a Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor (car), a Pass Plus registered driving instructor and a member of the Motor Schools Association of Great Britain.
In 1971 I qualified as a driving instructor in Bristol. A few months later decided to work for myself and started my own driving school. I have worked as a professional driving instructor ever since.
Driving lessons are given in a Peugeot 207 Verve, 1.4 diesel engine, fitted with dual controls and air conditioning.

Provisional driving instructors display a red badge
Anyone selling driving lessons without displaying one of these badges is breaking the law and is probably not a genuine driving instructor.

This is the first car I used for my driving school when I started in January, 1972. It is a 1966 Mk1 Ford Cortina. This was when driving lessons were about £2.00 per hour. In May 1972 I replaced it with the Mk 1 Ford Escort.
