Theory Test

Preparation for the Theory test should help you to learn to drive more easily and need fewer driving lessons. In Bristol the Theory test centre is easily found in Broadmead.

Pass plus course

The idea of the Pass plus course is to encourage new  drivers to take further training after the driving test. In return, as an incentive, the insurance companies would give a discount on the first years car insurance (often as much as 15%).

Motorway lessons

Learner drivers are not allowed to drive on motorways. So until the law is changed you have to hold a full licence before driving on the motorway. There are proposals to allow qualified approved driving instructors (ADI) in dual controlled driving school cars to take learner drivers onto motorways, and in some areas driving test routes may contain some motorway driving. It could be several years before these new ideas are implemented.

You can take the motorway part of the Pass Plus course on its own if you do not need the Pass Plus course.

Refresher lessons

Perhaps you learned to drive and obtained your full driving licence some years ago and have not driven much since. Refresher driving lessons could give you the confidence to drive again.
